ROMAN CATHOLICISM SPAWNED THE CURRENT APOSTASY IN EVANGELICALISM
Apprising Ministries ^ | May 14, 2008 | Ken Silva

In the Vatican II document Nostra Aetate (NA), “Declaration On The Relation Of The Church To Non-Christian Religions,” birthed from apostate Roman Catholicism we can trace the very rotten root of The Ecumenical Church Of Deceit (ECoD) of postevangelicalism. And this document also spawned the current apostasy festering within evangelicalism as well.

For you see it was NA that would open the door for Trappist monk Thomas Merton, one of most highly prized Golden Buddhas of Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism, to openly pursue his own antibiblical interspiritual “dialogues.” As we point out below he wasn’t alone and, just as previously shown in the Apprising Ministries piece Doug Pagitt, Rob Bell, Dalai Lama and the Interspiritual Seeds of Compassion Event, this lunacy in the Lord’s Name is ongoing still.

...these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces.(Ezekiel 14:3).

REAL conservatives don’t engage in this type of bigotry.

What an ugly article. Real Christians work out their own salvation with trembling and fear, and have no need nor inclination to point guilty fingers at others.

Methinks some time in the Confessional is in order.

Wow, do you subscribe to some special service that sends you anti-Catholic filth on a daily basis?

I read a lot of Christian sites that point out the filth that passes for Christianity without regard as to who embraces it. This article is a good example, taking Rick Warren and other Protestants to task.

Real conservatives embrace the truth and are not afraid to point out lies and deception.

Methinks confessionals are another scripture-twisting ritual any Biblically sound saint would avoid.

You're too reserved.

Add the Holocaust, AIDS, the Second World War, the Cold War, the Oil Crisis and Dutch Elm disease.

Did I miss anything?

I suppose Rome is partly at fault. If it weren’t for the their push back towards orthodoxy, then all those “Catholics” who wanted to make the Roman Church into something it shouldn’t be might not have swum the Channel and helped screw up Anglicanism.

Some of the most extreme liberal clerics I have come across in the Episcopal Church were “Catholics” (to use the term very loosely) who gravitated towards ECUSA after Paul6 put the breaks on Vatican 2 and JP2 began reigning in liberation theology.

Unlike Eastern Orthodoxy, Anglicanism did not have and does not have a viable tradition of doctrinal enforcement.

Confess your faults one to another.

But you only post the ones that blame the Church for the long-foretold disaster of Protestantism?

Then read what the Catholic Church really teaches....and read it all in context at the source.

Practice what you “preach.”

Here are a few beginnings for you:

Mmmmmmmm...I love FRUITCAKE.

Honestly...where do they get this stuff? Can you imagine if one of us posted a theory that Protestantism is to blame for a variety of the social ills we face today?

There was a time when FR didn’t allow this type of post — I don’t know when or why the policy changed. :(

Ken Silva's quarrelsome rant to Dr. Frank Page, leader of Southern Baptist Conference.

Enjoy.
