I was replying only to the hateful attitude and words of the professors, but not to the larger question of why they and others would carry through with such evil deeds.
You have correctly identified the motivation behind these very foolish puppets.
Too bad Mr. Myers lacks the talent to make a name for himself in his chosen field of biology. I suppose acquiring his fifteen minutes of fame in this sordid manner seems better to his puny mind than ending a mediocre career as an unknown.
Plus, some of his academic cohorts will probably tell him he is courageous for throwing off the patriarchal, man-made religious constructs of the western world, and they won’t think twice about what they’re saying-gag!
What, exactly, possesses someone with the desire to trample upon the beliefs of others in this callous manner?
