This year, in addition to Woodland Presbyterian Church in New Orleans, more than a dozen PCUSA congregations have left with their property from the denomination, or are seeking dismissal.

All right, not every single church. But as a collective, they are like the RNC trying to out-liberal the Dems. Only here, they are trying to out-liberal the Unitarians.
When folks like Peachtree and Highland Park refuse to take any real action, you have to wonder about those that are left that claim to be faithful.
Tears By Me Out The Heart
He once sent me a projected glide path chart showing the members leaving (not whole congregations at that time) and much fewer joining their ranks having the PCUSA out of business completely down the road just a bit.
With this kind of traffic checking out, that time will come much sooner than expected.
My personal thoughts: couldn't happen soon enough.
They must not be too Conservative or they would have joined the PCA.
We did have one male pastor, who was just gathering dust until retirement; one guy whose sexuality was always suspect; a lesbian who finally came out of the closet and divorced her husband of decades.
Any members who sit through those services, deserve to follow the others straight to Hell as they will never listen to the truth -- it's so "hateful" don't you know.
Is it the issue of one Presybyterian denomination over another, or is the issue a rather larger one?
All good Christians who adhere to the truth should flee any denomination that belongs to the National Council of Churches.
I don't know how much longer we will be able to say that about the PCA.

My understanding is that PCUSA congregations are required to have wimmin elders. At this point PCA might be too big a jump.

Not sure what you’re talking about. The PCA is pretty conservative.
I’m a longtime member of a PCA congregation. Our denomination is dead-on with the Westminster Confession. Of course, we also use the Heidelberg Catechism.
Having gone through the routine in the PCUS, I see the push for women deacons to be only a first step. Once you make the decision on social justice grounds rather than on Biblical grounds, the other steps are quite easy.
Indeed, the slavery apology a few years ago didn't seem to have much in the way of Biblical basis, and may well have been the breach in the dam.
