Sounds like your assumption is that God

COULD NOT

change the rules in the END TIMES.

The Scriptures referred to a particular case which could have had those parameters for any number of reasons.

Putting God in a tidy little box has never worked well for me.

Enjoy the try. . . . though it strikes me as more than a bit . . . cheeky to imagine the loftiness to be able to do that.

My assumption is that God’s nature is constant and he reveals his nature through Scripture (and nature). And my advice is if someone tells you to ignore the Bible and listen to me, turn on your heals and run to the hills.
