I guess tracing back through the Anglican church does not count?

How about the Methodists, who broke off from the Anglicans? Or the Salvation Army and the Church of the Nazarene, who, in turn, broke from the Methodists?

The protestant reformation was inevitable.

Once the masses became better educated and biblical writings became available in native languages, the populace began to understand the redemptive message was to be inwardly digested by all, not some gaggle of priest and bishops who insisted they alone were uniquely qualified to give this message in a language that most did not even understand.
