Most of the crowd that screamed out for Jesus' crucifixion, who spat on Him and mocked Him as he made His way to Golgotha - well, those people went home and went about their daily business without incident and lived the remainder of their lives in apparent comfort and peace.

Not too many of them would have lived to see the Temple destroyed almost 40 years later.

They, much like Myers, didn't realize that they were already living in a hell of their own making.

When I was 12 or 13, I bought a book on modern-day satanism that contained a story about a father who stole a consecrated host in the same manner as this Florida student leader to demonstrate to his children that it is not the Body of Christ as Catholics believe. To prove it he stabbed it with a knife repeatedly.

As his kids wept he comforted them by saying "They told it would bleed. But look. It doesn't bleed. It doesn't bleed!"

The next day I took that book out into the backyard and burned it.
