One of the more vacuous lines of logic used by unbelievers to justify their obstinacy is that nothing "happened" when they performed some sacrilegious or sinful act or when they crossed a line which they had been warned not to cross. We hear it all the time........"I did such and such and no bolt of lightening struck me down.....God didn't zap me!"
It appears this dolt is operating along similar lines of reasoning.
Most of the crowd that screamed out for Jesus' crucifixion, who spat on Him and mocked Him as he made His way to Golgotha - well, those people went home and went about their daily business without incident and lived the remainder of their lives in apparent comfort and peace.
Not too many of them would have lived to see the Temple destroyed almost 40 years later.
They, much like Myers, didn't realize that they were already living in a hell of their own making.
I would literally prefer to be dead and gone than to be Paul Myers.
What a dreary and unending chore life must be for someone who thinks and acts as he does.
As his kids wept he comforted them by saying "They told it would bleed. But look. It doesn't bleed. It doesn't bleed!"
The next day I took that book out into the backyard and burned it.
