Jesus gave the disciples his body by hand at the last supper - the method is not the problem.

Where does it say in the Bible that Our Lord gave it to them in the hand. It just says gave it to them. It's uncertain. In any case, your forget the Apostles were the first bishops.

I disagree. The method IS part of the problem.

And what have today’s Apostles said on the matter - both forms (recieved with reverance) are acceptable.
