The RCC has twisted this Scripture - as it has done with so many others - into meaning that only the select group of RCC appointed men can understand Scripture.

On the contrary, Protestants have a twisted belief that says that ANY of them can understand Scripture but the Catholic Church cannot.

This is totally contrary to the Biblical instruction to believers to be students of the Word (2 Tim 2:15 “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”)

And Peter also correctly realized that you would misinterpret this (2 Peter 3:15-17).
