The Tribulation is a seven-year period that is divided into two halves, each 3.5 years long. If you add 3.5 years to the Summer Solstice of 2008, you arrive at the Winter Solstice of 2012. That day "just happens" to be the last day of the Mayan calendar.

Solstices? Mayan calandar?

Ohhhh-kay.

The idea that The Rapture — the sudden, bodily "snatching away" of Christians up into Heaven — will occur prior to The Tribulation is a prophetic equivalent of a "prosperity gospel" that gives people a false sense of hope and security.

Well, he's got that right.

I figure that God already knows what’s going to happen to each of us, so what’s the use of worrying about it? If He knows you’re one of the ones getting taken away, then you’ll get taken away, if not, then you won’t.

Slightly to moderately skeptical. But he makes some interesting, if not good points.

A huge quake is reportedly slated for CA soonish . . . we shall see.

There needs to be birth pangs before the tribulation. There needs to be prior conditions and prior events before the birth pangs.

Has the antichrist established his eighth beast empire or its 3 nation power base yet? Has Israel made a covenant of death with the ruler of that empire?

I’ve always held that we won’t know it till we are past it, just as now we can see Jesus’s incarnation throughout the Old Testament, but it was hard to put it together before.

But I have been wondering if the global warming hysteria might be tied into all the natural disasters the bible predicts at the end.

I know of many post-tribbers, and am one myself. An old book written by a professor at Wheaton College (now University) called “The Tribulation People” will also be of interest. Thanks for writing the book. I simply read my Bible in the order it was written and quit trying to make it all fit into the pre-Trib formula. It’s really quite easy. When you do read the Bible, don’t skip the inserted phrases, like “this is the first resurrection”, which is always ignored!

All of you have missed the real humor in what Kovach is claiming here. He is desperate to forge a link between the wildfires and his predicted earthquake for the Bohemian Grove. His later columns are filled with USGS maps of fault lines near his target zone. What he has completely failed to realize is that NONE OF THE MAJOR WILDFIRES were located anywhere within a hundred miles of there. Readers can confirm this for themselves by going to the latest maps of the burn zones at;

http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/activefiremaps.php?op=maps&rCode=cgb

I also happen to live near San Francisco. We had some pretty sunsets from all the smoke and a couple of times it even made me cough but it really it was no big deal. Happily at last report the fires are all pretty much under control. If the rest of the Tribulations turn out to be as much of a cream puff as this one then I think I’m going to be able to get through it. Two thousands years of build-up over nothing. Ah well.

The tribulation has nothing to do with California.

It has to do with G-d's people: Israel.

It can not be divined by solstices, Mayan calendars.

It will occur on G-d's calendar and on G-d's Feast Days.

The trumpets will sound on the YHvH commanded Feast of Trumpets.

Sunset on September 29, 2008.

shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach Adonai
