. . . analysis of the 1992-1994 wave of the NSFH [study] indicates that churchgoing was only associated with marital happiness for women when they attended church with their husbands. In addition, a study of urban relationships found that mens religious attendance was a better predictor of womans relationship satisfaction than womens own religious attendance.
