To: Hebrews 11:6; B-Chan

The point B-Chan made is about a difference between being nice and being charitable. You two exchanged some angry posts later, but that point of his I agree with. Christian love is about wanting the best for your neighbor, and the best I want for you is your eternal life. So, I evangelize. You can do the same, and I won’t put it against you.

The doctrine “no salvation outside the Catholic Church” is the Church position, and it means what I said: that when a non-Catholic is saved, it is still the Catholic Church that saves him. There little point arguing for or against it, it is just a fact that the Church teaches that. My attitude about these things is simple: if you think it contradicts the Scripture, I will show how it doesn’t; if you have a different opinion, then you are free to hold it, but it will not be the Catholic teaching. Does it make sense?
