I have a friend who was told by a man he worked with that he had a near death experience and it was HORRIBLE. He went down a tunnel and creatures making horrible sounds grabbed at him.

My friend said that the guy was a different person after his heart attack...much nicer; "it really changed him, whatever experience he had."

Now that's interesting., It seems most people who have NDE's find they are safe and full of peace, etc., --- very little mention of judgment and the shame of sin and the consequenes of our pride and blindness.

It occurs to me tha it's like people who claim to have recovered memories of some previous reincarnation. They all remember being Mycenaean princesses or somesuch; nobody ever remembers being a garbage-scavenger's daughter and dying of a ratbite at age four.
