I would like to offer praise up for several people...for svcw for providing this thread, revelation 911 whose idea for a non-denominational category at FR became a tangible entity, for the Religion Moderator who made this category possible, for mhgintn whose suggestion for a group prayer became the impetus for this thread, and for colorcountry...you know what your contribution was.

5. Prayers requested for Amanda, her family and friends.

6. I would love to be able to eat well with lots of fruits and vegetables, but right now, that’s just not an option. The only answer for food allergies is healing because there’s no treatment for them.
Also prayer for my daughter’s job and college complications. She’s had a terrible time since she started almost two years ago and she really needs the money. - metmom

8. I have a couple of prayer requests. My son's company closed down the branch he was employed at and he is searching for a new position.
I have continual pain from arthritis in my spine.

9. In one week seeing a surgeon for second opinion on breast lump. Please pray that is gone and or nothing.

I have a prayer request if you all don't mind.

I am losing my job here in New Jersey. My work is defense related, and because of DoD budget cuts our contract is not being renewed.

For 21 years, I was an Air Force officer and pilot - and frequently away from my family. I missed a lot. Children's first steps, many Christmas days, birthdays - you name it.

I had hoped my moving days were over and I could finally settle in one place.

I was offered a very generous job in Washington DC - but I would have had to go off on my own and work. My wife and I decided we wanted our oldest daughter to finish high school.

This morning, at church, we decided to turn down the job, and not move the children away from their friends, youth group, and schools.

I am giving all of this to the Lord.

Please pray that a job opens up for me here in New Jersey.

God is our hope and promise. He is in control and He performs miracles. We are part of His family and He loves us. He is concerned about our daily needs, as well as our problems. We need to rest in Him, obey Him, and seek His will daily.

My prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father we lift these requests for healing to Your gracious hands and claim victory for miracles. We praise You this evening for those already answered prayers and miracles already come to completion. We thank You for those that have gathered together to praise Your name. Thank you Dear Lord for Your kindness and love.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to thank everyone and give you a final update. My son is doing so well that he returned to work this morning. Laproscopic surgery is amazing. He is on light duty, but it is amazing to me that 4 days after surgery that he is well enough to go to work.

I also want to praise the Lord for modern medicine. My son wasn’t showing classic symptoms of appendicitis. He wasn’t running a fever, did not have resounding pain or lower right quadrant pain. I am not sure what were the results of his blood work. Anyway, the only way the doctor knew that it was the appendix was from the Cat scan results. Since the appendix had gangrene it is obvious that if they hadn’t done surgery, he could have been in bigger trouble.
