We all know who the most beautiful of angels is, and he likes to get things rolling not by totally twisting the truth, but by a subtle change of direction.....BINGO..!!

Muslims would also have a free ride. It's a good question, but it's pretty easy to figurte out. :-0
The Mormons, Muslims and RC's all share a foundation on extra Scriptural sources they proclaim to be of equal authority as Scripture. They also claim exclusivity and a monopoly on understanding.
I was also going to point out the linkage of church and state, but I'm not sure how the Mormons are on that point.

Gee, I wonder how many Catholics will come on and refute that? They would skewer any Protestant who made that claim, but for some unknown reason, they seem to all want to give the Mormons a pass. I wonder why that is? Thanks for the ping, and that's an excellent point. I also don't seem to be able to recall any Councils ever being called mainly for the purpose of trashing any faith other than Protestantism, specifically the Reformed.

That's easy to understand though. The Reformed weren't playing fair. They said all doctrines must be consistent with Scripture.

Hey, are your Cardinals going to get it in gear or what? You can't imagine how bad it is to hear all the cub fans talking about a world series. They really believe it!

I don't know what to make of this team yet. It has a completely different feel. Lots of new players and lots of DL, etc. Usually, when you're a game and a half behind the Cubbies it's a disaster. :) But not this year. They're tied for the best record in baseball with the RAYS???????? It's an alternate universe. LOL!
But then I think of the thousands of men who were born, grew up, played inept baseball for the Cubs, and then died of old age, all since they last won the Series, and I am comforted. :) IIRC, you're a Sox fan, right? They seem to be doing just fine. I like them too. If it did come down to Cubs and Sox what would they call it? The "EL" Series? The Loop Series? :)

Bunch of new players most doing well. It's the pitching that has been carrying them so far.

It would be the "subway series" or the "Brown line blow out". The only satisfaction would be the Sox would beat them in 4-5 games. The cubbies hit very well, but avg defense and below avg pitching especially middle relief and closer.
