Below is the Creed of the Church, the body of Christ, that Bible believing Christians live by, ignoring the heresies of so many sects and denominations who follow traditions and substitute the laws of man for the laws of God.

[1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.]

13. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

16. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Thank you, Kindred, for some Scripture.

I am under Holy Ghost conviction, and not being instructed of Him to spend valuable time reading creeds and confessions.

I was just thinking about how much or how little time we spend in our own BIBLE institute actually reading and poring over the Scriptures themselves. We teach a lot of courses. And our students must spend a lot of time in the Scriptures when studying on their own with the references provided in the lesson texts.

But I was thinking, how much class time do we use to just read the Bible. I don't want our lessons to become like the creeds and confessions, which to study would eat up so much time. I don't want to create substitutes for the Bible itself.

That does it! I'm going to rewrite much of our curriculum to include more classroom reading of the Bible.

Thanks!

I might spend 3 or 4 hours a day listening to the discussion on the scriptures and re reading the subject for the days discussions and the Spirit of the Lord is there to witness for me!

One will learn things in the OT and NT that is never address by the Tradition of Men and it is being Joy to the soul!

Really it is a lot more because I listen to a lot of talks on the Lord I just can’t get enough it just thrill my soul.
