To follow-up, Thanks to all the wonderful Non-catholics who said that Catholics were Christians, this post is for the Catholics to chime in.
Do you think Protestants are Brothers and Sisters in Christ? Are Protestants Christians?
Thanks!

The Noachide Faith in Masonic Sources The Old Charges - A Return to our Roots The Chevalier Ramsay used to declare: ìFreemasonry is indeed the resurrection of the Noachide religion, that of the Patriarch Noah, that religion prior to any dogma, which allows us to go beyond the differences and oppositions of the various faithsî. [as quoted on the site of the Grand Lodge of France]and
"The descendants of Noah. A term applied to Freemasons on the theory, derived from the 'legend of the craft,' that Noah was the father and founder of the Masonic system of theology. And hence the Freemasons claim to be his descendants, because in times past they preserved the pure principles of his religion amid the corruptions of surrounding faiths. Dr. Anderson first used the word in this sense in the second edition of the Book of Constitutions: 'A Mason is obliged by his tenure to observe the moral law as a true Noachida.' But he was not the inventor of the term, for it occurs in a letter sent by the Grand Lodge of Calcutta in 1735, which letter is preserved among the Rawlinson MSS. in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. (See Ars Quartuor Coronatorum, xi., 35.)
I’m not stating someone else’s thoughts. I’m stating my own thoughts based on what I’ve seen and heard.
Generally, the way I’ve heard it is in a backhanded way: “If you don’t receive the real Eucharist, then you can’t maintain a Christian life. And if you can’t maintain a Christian life, then you’ll be lost.”
So, it’s more often picked up in the technicalities and not in the generalities.
I think in REAL LIFE we DO stick together. Here on message boards we just like to debate and argue!
>>On the reciprocal thread the ratio is far different, see http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/2017086/posts
Let me explain the ratio on that thread for those who either avoid or are not interested in the fights on the FR religion forum.
If you read through that thread, MOST of the Non-Catholic FReeepers say Catholics are Christians. It’s very heartwarming.
Of those who did not, many are well known to the Catholics. If you read through the thread, you can tell who they are. It has brought the “mice out of the woodwork” so to speak.
To the Catholics on this thread, we feel the same as our non-Catholic Brothers and Sisters. We’re in the same boat and have a bigger enemy.
Thanks to everyone who responded here and there!!!
>>Im stating my own thoughts based on what Ive seen and heard.<<
And I’m stating a fact. You are not Catholic. Period.
I don’t think any Catholic would disagree. No man can be saved on their own without the grace and mercy of the Almighty.
>>I think in REAL LIFE we DO stick together. Here on message boards we just like to debate and argue!<<
Amen!
I think the problem comes in when either, you’re like me and NEVER thought that a Christian would say the “down and dirty” things said here to another Christian.
Or You think that everyone who is like you actually agrees with you.
That’s what these threads have shown.
Most of us think we are “Brothers and Sisters in Christ” And it’s wonderful!
“>>Im stating my own thoughts based on what Ive seen and heard.<<
“And Im stating a fact. You are not Catholic. Period.”
Can’t you just feel the love? By the way, what are you doing on an anti-Protestant thread?
I am NOT stating someone else's thoughts. I'm stating my own thoughts. Others do not think for me. I think for me.
Figured I'd leave the heathen neighborhoods and go upscale for a while.
How's business? Is the Protestant ethic making you a wealthy capitalist?
I've never seen the Masons attack the Catholic church...And I suspect the Knights of Columbus are the masons of the Catholic religion...
>> By the way, what are you doing on an anti-Protestant thread?<<
Which thread is that?
>>I predict your thread will go downhill from this point on. It will move from the belaboring of a very simple point, to a false charge, to an purposeful dig, and on and on and on to another ignonimous death spiral.<<
Not if we ignore them.
Protestants do NOT go to purgatory...
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life
We have access to the seven sacraments which provide us with unbelievable graces.
Having said that, since we have been given such extraordinary grace, we are held to a higher standard than non-Catholics.
I don't understand this...What are the unbelievable graces??? How are they used??? What do they do??? What are the higher standards you are referring to???
And a Happy Tuesday to you too, btw!
My kids GS troop is spending the night on Thursday at Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky. We are then camping south of there for Memorial Day.
I have to get the girls together, get the camper together before we leave tomorrow for Sandusky and pray that Dad can get the dog, the new kitten and all the stuff together to bring down on Friday.
I don’t have the time to get offended!!!
What anti-Protestant thread? Where?
