The Department of Defense announced the death of these Americans who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. William E. Allmon, 25, of Ardmore, Okla., died in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.
Requesting prayer for the family, friends, and loved ones of Spc. Arturo Huerta-Cruz, 23, of Clearwater, Fla.

Spc. Arturo Huerta-Cruz, 23, of Clearwater, Fla., died in Tuz, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 10th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.

Requesting prayer for the family, friends, and loved ones of Sgt. Joseph A. Richard III, 27, of Lafayette, La.

Sgt. Joseph A. Richard III, 27, of Lafayette, La., died in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), located at Fort Polk, La.

Requesting prayer for the family, friends, and loved ones of Staff Sgt. Jason L. Brown, 29, of Magnolia, Texas

Staff Sgt. Jason L. Brown, 29, of Magnolia, Texas, died in Sama Village, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked using small arms fire and grenades. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Requesting prayer for the family, friends, and loved ones of Spc. Lance O. Eakes, 25, of Apex, N.C.

Spc. Lance O. Eakes, 25, of Apex, N.C., died in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1132nd Military Police Company, North Carolina Army National Guard, Rocky Mount, N.C.
