I think it is more that it is amazing the confusion that has been caused by the thousands of quarelling Protestant groups, none of which, Doctrinally and Theologically agree on anything.

Any pretense of objectivity on your part is null and void.

Apologetics 101 and nothing else.

Here is what every Protestant I know agrees on...

"But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." -- Romans 10:6-9

"Be not afraid; only believe." -- Mark 5:36

And the facts support what I stated. If God is one, and he is (Trinity is a communion of Persons), and Christ is one Divine Person, and he is, with a Divine and human nature, and he founded a Church, and he did (c.f. Mt 16:18), and the Church is his Body (c.f. 1 Cor 12: 12-13)and Bride (c.f. Eph 5:26-27), and is one (c.f. 1 Cor 10:13) and is the “pillar and foundation of Truth” (c.f. 1 Tim 3:15), then how can thousands of competing Groups be God’s will, when it distorts the very nature of God, who is perfect communion of Love (Most Holy Trinity). Furthermore, Christ himself prayed that his Apostles and followers would “all be one” (c.f. John 17:20).

Also, I was responding to the statement by another poster who said the Catholic Church was causing confusion. I didn’t start the polemic, another poster did. For the record, I have never started polemics, only responded to them.

Finally Old Reggie, while you have stated you are a Unitarian now, I hypothesized that you may be an “ex Catholic” as evidenced by your description of one of my previous post being “Jesuitical”. Like I stated, that is usually a term used in inner-Catholic circles, as some people were educated by Domenicans (as I was), some by Redemptorist (as my Wife was), some by Franciscans, some by Jesuits, etc.

I still believe my theory is correct and if it is, God Bless you and I hope you return to the fullness of Communion with the Trinity and Christ’s “One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church”.

Cheers
