And what do you make of all these high-fiving RCs on this thread?
1) I did not see any RC high fiving over Mary as Co-redeemer. I saw a typical RC vs PROD (un)civil war. As a Christian it disgusts and saddens me how bad both sides can be.
2) In the article you referenced I do not see co-redeemer as co-savior. There is a difference and a subtle point about Mary’s love for her son and her suffering and sacrifice is being made.
3) I fully understand that this point can be misunderstood easily by non-Catholic Christians (as well as many Catholics!).
4) I fully appreciate the un-ease my Christian brethren may have towards Catholic’s view of Mary. I further admit that there are probably many “catholics” who do cross the line into worship (just as there are many protestant “christians” who read horoscopes or maintain superstitions or other forms of idol worship).
5) Christians have more in common than we do that separates us - especially when we realize how many secularist and muzzie enemies we have. It is the tone of the disagreements which is upsetting. I think you and others would have a far greater influence and discussion would be more productive if the tone of the conversation was simply changed.
