>> When will the author appear on Coast-to-Coast? <<
Hey, Art Bell’s theories about the “thermohaline circulation” were the basis of “An Inconvenient Truth” and “The Day After Tomorrow.” How dare you question his credentials! (/sarc)
Then he wanted money!
I said, "Look. God wanted me to have this book, right?" "Yes" " Okay! Thanks for delivering it!"
Served me right, though, I could not make heads or tails out of the book...
The material is only "counter-factual" if you don't believe it. Remember this thread the next time someone tells you "all religions believe the same thing..."
>> The Vedas state that the moon is 800,000 miles farther from the earth than the sun <<
Really? Do they?
I’m impressed for two reasons: 1. They could count that high (seriously; most ancient counting systems weren’t based on simply adding another digit); and 2. They were an ancient people who had never noticed the moon pass in front of the son.
Sure, it’s not obvious that a solar eclipse IS the moon passing in front of the son because it’s a new moon, but most ancient people were VERY good at knowing the position of the moon at all times, even when it wasn’t visible.
>> Therefore, even if we accept the modern calculation of 93 million miles as the distance from the earth to the sun, how could the “astronauts” have traveled to the moon—a distance of almost 94 million miles—in only 91 hours (the alleged elapsed time of the Apollo 11 moon trip)? <<
um.... why do they accept that the sun is 94 million miles away?
“Don’t waste your time going from this planet to that planet,”
Words of the wise. I gave that up a long time ago. Especially after my visit to the planet of Sharona.

Hee, hee! The Hare Kirshna’s are accusing someone else of falling for a hoax.
Invisible Army Transport Unit!
>> It serves to make FR look like the homepage for the worlds kooks. <<
I really don’t think any visitors would expect that any FReepers believe this crap. Then again, I’ve read about even goofier religions on FR lately.
That’s an interesting hat you have there. A hat worthy of being worn by Zarathud the Incorrigible (Offender of the Faith and Patron Saint of the Season of Bureaucracy.)
- if he had a head to put it on.
Did you by chance get it from a rhyming cat with a Discordian cypher?
WWFSMD?
We faked it six times?
DON’T HOSE ME BRO!
"Just see! They have come back with some moon dust!"
Denial of the moon landings has been around a long time. Interestingly, the deniers never mention the cooperation such a hoax would have required from USA’s two greatest enemies, the Soviet Union and Red China - who had the technology to intercept radio traffic and other images broadcast from the Moon. If this had been a hoax by NASA, our enemies would have been the first to report it.
Not to mention that such a hoax would have required the silence of 30,000 or more NASA employees, with not one of them leaking anything to the press!
A couple Freepers are probably already wearing it...I’m waiting for someone to tell me this article is true.
Ask them how that car got on the moon. Check your telescopes.
