Is the doctrine of the Catholic church of God?

To many it appears not.

Can a baby be baptized?

Mark 16:

[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 3:

[15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It is not possible to ask an infant if they believe in God, and the parent can not confess for the child.

Does the Catholic priest have the power to forgive sin?

The Bible says no.

Mark 2:

[6] But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, [7] Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

Does the Catholic Church worship the dead and false idols? Yes they do when they pray to Mary, or any of the dead saints of the past. They also pray to a cross that has a depiction of Jesus on it, when he is alive in heaven awaiting the time when he will come back and take his people.

Is the Catholic Church the harlot that is spoken of in Revelations?

It appears so as the church leaders where the colors and adorn them selves in

Revelations 17:

[4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Many of Revelations prophecies can be see in the Catholic belief.

Pardon me, but what does this mean: (Caucus No Defense of Catholic Reply)

You think you’ve posted a caucus thread?

Uh...I’m a little confused here. Which group is on the invite list for this caucus? If the Catholics aren’t on it, this isn’t going to remain a caucus for long.

This is the most confusing caucus designation in the history of the world. What the heck does it mean? This is definitely an OPEN thread.

I hope not. The kids are making me sit down so they can clean (shudder), and do the cooking. There’s a stupid movie on tv, I finished my book, and don’t feel like sewing.

Plus, I found some neat stuff on the Catholic view of Apocalypse.

Kills time until they burn something on the stove and the smoke detector goes off.

I am an ex-Catholic who left the church for evangelical Christianity.

Still, I hold the Catholic church as still Christian - and those who believe in Christ are my brothers and sisters.

Not so with cults such as Seventh Day Adventists and Mormons. I continue to pray for them.
