- They can leave the lifestyle. Their orientation will not change. I’ve heard many stories of people who claimed to have changed but was caught at a gay bar later. Even if they get married to the opposite gender, chances are they’re just suppressing their feelings. I’ve read about Exodus International - they will admit to you that very, very few people actually experience complete heterosexuality. So yes, you can be celibate or whatnot; but you’re still queer.
