Charlie Clough has some fairly well studied lessons on Genesis onwards with a scientific background. He emphasizes the “framework” in which one studies science and perceives the Genesis account.
One good note is that we do no have directly observable evidence of the age. Inferable??? yes, and partially indirect. Carbon dating is heavily dependent upon exponential ratios and irrational math. Valid, indeed, but soundness still eludes us without a reliance either upon the infallibility of God or upon our heart.
For myself, I’ve found through faith that He is veritable and true and faithful. I can’t say the same with as much certainty with respect to science.
Well put.
I can only agree. I’m not so concerned about how old earth is, I’m more concerned about the people on the earth and where they will spend eternity.
