Really?
Akin to the UNBIBLICAL FANTASIZED:
--Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's post Jesus childlessness? --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's Blasphemous intercessions? --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's fabricated role as the NEW Ark of the New Covenant? --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's own purported Immaculate Conception? --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's apparition/visitations in various places . . . not that the apparition was a fantasy and did not occur--but that the personage was really Christ's Mother returned. --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's being the interposed mother of the world between lesser humans and Christ . . . --Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary caricature's many skyscrapers of dogma built upon the toothpick "full of grace." --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that the chief Roman political RELIGIOUS operative is the head of all Christendom . . . --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that all earthly RELIGIOUS Christian authority has been placed in said chief Roman political RELIGIOUS operative's hands . . . --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that pebble Peter was the first such chief Roman RELIGIOUS operative . . . --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that their little clique grown large existed before ~AD400 . . . --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that they have exclusive power to consign folks to hell or delcare such the case . . . --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that their construction on RELIGIOUS club realities is the only authorized, authentic, true one . . . [ROTFLOL] . . . --the RC magicsterical political power-mongers' fantasies that their skyscrapers of dogma and ritual have been homogeneously pure and unchanging since Pentecost or some such . . . when their little club didn't even exist until ~400 and certainly have not remained anything close to pure or unchanged since then. . . . ad nauseum indeed . . .
Thank you for being such a vivid symbol of the other perspective’s alternate reality.
I don’t recall assigning you the label “friend.”
I’m not currently fantasizing doing so in the near future.
Of course, confession and repentance could change things.
It says that they don’t exist except for the occasional demon pretending to be an alien.
“It says . . . “
Please elaborate on what “It” is and on what it says about such.
If you are talking about The Bible, I believe you are inaccurate.
It says it indirectly in the order of creation which makes clear the purpose of the rest of the stars in the universe. They are window dressings and for signs.
NOT AT ALL.
That's acctually a galactic cluster sized stretch.
It's an extremely tenuous, ephemeral, fantasized extrapolation, inference, leap of rationalized bias.
Arguing from silence is never a safe bet.
And, as others have documented . . . a number of verses hint much more strongly and relatively straightforwardly that such a bias is without foundation.
As I've noted . . . God promised Abraham that his kids would number greater than the grains of sand on the seashore.
And, it is clear from the NT that righteous Jews and Christians will rule and reign eternally with Christ--judging even angels.
This little planet is not remotely able to house that many chiefs--much less that many chiefs AND their indians.
And that's just one example.
An interesting, far-fetched inference, leap of bias, however. I don't think I've come across that one before.
People seem to have a real hard time with the idea of being alone in the universe. If you don’t believe in a 7 day creation happening about 6000 years ago, then there is little point in trying to use the bible to discuss this issue.
I believe Scripture is accurate about theology and history.
I can believe God started something new and special X thousand years ago.
I do not believe that this planet had 0.00000% life on it
PRIOR to it being VOID AND WITHOUT form just before Adam’s trek on the scene.
There are Chinese writings verifiably 7,000 years old.
There are many things "verifiably" older than 7,000 years. If you care to believe the verification. I believe the bible. How does something "without form, void and dark" support life?
Scripture says
nothing
—certainly nothing with any specific clarity or certainty
about
what this place was like
BEFORE
it was
VOID AND WITHOUT FORM.
All kinds of things are possible.
Arguing either direction from silence is foolishness.
In terms of the Chinese . . . there are a variety of ways to date early stuff. And for many thousands of years . . . it’s a simple thing . . . their documents are more or less uninterrupted as though a series of Britanica yearbooks of official records mack well before the NT or OT eras in most respects IIRC.
The writings 7,000 years old are clearly from an era IIRC, that has been documented in terms of age several different ways.
I don’t think myopic and distorted explanations for earth’s eras and cosmology help Scriptural accuracy nor theology much at all. And, have actually done a lot of damage.
It is CONCEIVABLE that God could have staged a 6,000 year old earth that pretended to be older. But it’s not like God to do such a thing. He’s very authentic, real, consistent etc.
Also, I notice you didn’t touch the Abraham seed thing . . . I think that’s just one of a number of deal breakers for this being 100% all there is or ever will be.
Yeah, Ice Cores with clearly laid down layers year by year would be one thing going back well before 7,000 years.
I hate it when Christians unnecessarily make themselves look ignorant.
Yes, I've seen some of your "overwhelming evidence", Quix.
It's quite....um......"enlightening"..... :-)
How about when "Christians" unnecessarily make themselves look rude when discussing things with other Christians.
Ok. I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about but I do understand you guidance.
Perhaps you haven’t to probably you haven’t.
I rarely post much of it. I just talk about it.
It’s around for folks to ferret out and discern for themselves.
I’ve spent more than 45 years sorting through the puzzle pieces. I have no need to do a lot of the hard work for skeptics who have no shred of an open mind about it anyway.
It will be interesting to look at that “unnecessarily” from Heaven’s perspective.
Some of us tend to look rude just breathing . . . even with a bag over our heads.
LOL.
BTW, I didn’t really make clear . . . I was speaking as though to the bulk of the folks who contend that the world is only 6,000 normal years old—in all my comments and posts about that issue. I don’t really know you well enough to speak only to you on such.
