Throughout the history of Israel the gospel ebbed and flowed. Elijah lamentated that he alone was left and they wanted to kill him. At one time the word of God was all but gone until they found it hidden in a sealed room of the temple during the rein of Josiah. Even in the history of the church, the gospel at times has decreased as well as flourished.
I wouldn't say the Reformation is fading. On the contrary Calvinism is on the rise. But whatever your take, numbers is not a true representation of the correct understanding of the gospel nor of the power of God. How many people God feel is necessary to save His elect is up to Him. But all will be saved. We don't believe in "recruitment". We believe in the power of God to change the hearts of men towards Himself, to the praise of His glory.

Based upon numbers I’d say it is.

A higher percentage of a deflating pie.
***But all will be saved. ***
Only those who are Judged to be saved.

God does not need our praise or worship. He wants us to love Him. He is the God of Love and Mercy.
