***Ah, so it was just sarcasm.
You very clearly are saying here that “Bibliolatry” is believing “the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible” (and I guess this also means that Bibliolatry is also believing the “Catholics suppressed the Bible,” which of course they have many many times.)
Let’s clarify: Do you now amend your statement under the excuse it was just “sarcasm” and do you believe the Holy Spirit wrote the Scriptures?***
If this is an example of the honesty of your church, it is probably a good thing that it is dying out.
Catholics never suppressed the Bible. If you would trot out an example, it may help to examine it. The Bible was written and assembled under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, but it was still written and assembled by men - the men of the Church and not the men of the OPC or any other such cult invented by other non inspired men.
God wrote the 10 commandments on the stone for Moses; men wrote the Bible. If this is difficult for you to understand, then perhaps we can discuss it further.
Just a point of clarification. God wrote the 10 commandments but these were destroyed by Moses. Moses wrote the second set of the 10 commandments under God's command. Do you believe what Moses wrote was any different that what God wrote? Now if Anselm said there was an 11 commandment and the Church agree, would you agree that Anselm's 11 commandment was at the same level as what Moses' wrote?
Ah. At last, sanity. So it is not "Bibliolatry" to believe the "Holy Spirit wrote the Bible."
May I quote you tomorrow when you change your mind?
