As she’s about to drive them at high speeds off a cliff (?) she turns to him and says “When you sleep with someone, you make a promise with your body...” I was actually impressed that that spiritual truth came out of Hollywood! We know from scripture that sex makes two become one flesh so when casual sex rips you apart from partner to partner someone’s going to get hurt. Step out of God’s bounds and into disaster and heartache. That is a great truth. Even in my "PC" (pre-Christian) days I was always aware that giving yourself to someone else was a big deal. Man or woman it's something you can never get back and to do this something special with someone you're not committed to (MARRIED!) can be sad. But it's also wonderful to know that Christ can forgive anything.
