If this guy started from the same place and ended up an evangelical Protestant, you'd call it a "great testimony" and the "work of the Holy Spirit".

The difference, of course, is that a Protestant would say it was by God's grace through the Holy Scriptures that he came to know his salvation was by Christ alone.

As we read, this priest says his enlightenment came from a book on Mary.

That's like comparing the encyclopedia to Grimm's fairy tales.

Wow, do you really feel the need to mock Christ’s Mother by comparing Her to Grimm’s fairy tales. Last time I checked She was real, and the holy Mother of our Lord. Or do you believe the Bible is a fairy tale?

Why do Catholics honor Mary? We are called to imitate Jesus for He is the Way, the Truth, and Life. We are called to love what Jesus  loves and to hate what Jesus hates (sin). We are also called to honor whoever he honors. Jesus honored his mother otherwise he would have broken the 4th commandment (honor your father & mother).

There is a Spiritual family of which Mary has a significant role. Remember that Jesus was transformed in the presence of Moses and Elijah. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the God Head with all others in Christ being the Body.

Let's not bring Calvinism into this.
