Perhaps because they didn't ask to be prayed for. It's like a slap in the face by holier than thou Christians. They believe in God and don't go around wearing bombs on their belts so leave them alone.

How unChristian is this? Praying to the same God for the conversion of Jews, and coincidentally many pray for the conversion of Islam, is seen as disturbing? Are they afraid that their own God might answer the prayers of these Christians, or that, if He answers too slowly, these nasty Christians will resort to violence to force conversion?

As to the latter, that fear has basis in historical fact. As to the former, ..what?
