No, Jesus would celebrate Passover AND Resurrection Sunday. Eggs and rabbits? Why would He have anything to do with that pagan aspect of Easter?
The resurrection did not occur on a Sunday. All scriptures that have been used as proof texts for Sunday observance do not say "First day of the week". See post #11........
I don't see in the scripture where Jesus told anyone to celebrate or remember his ressurrection...
1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.
What is to be remembered is the Crucifixion...
And according to Jesus, we must break the bread...No little cracker on your tongue...We are to break the bread to remember His broken body...
And the cup...The cup represents the New Testament...The liquid in the cup represents the blood that drained out of His body...The atoning blood...
The Passover is for Jews...We do not celbrate the Passover or the pagan Easter...
We did not become Jews when we were saved...We became Christians...Saved Jews are no longer Jews...They are Christians...
As often as we break the bread and drink from the cup, we do show the Lord's death...
