Excellent work on this thread, Dr E!

I am amazed at the Father’s longsuffering with Rome. Still, like Isreal and Judah, I think that his patience has limits. Despite his providential mercies Rome still lacks repentance. He gave us the printing press which allowed men to see the ignominies of Rome and still they do not repent. He continues to expose her ignominies through new providential mediums such as television and the internet and still she refuses to repent. No doubt at some point the recorded ignominies locked up at the Vatican will be brought to light.

Lord have mercy!

“For how long, Oh Lord?”

Despite [God's] providential mercies Rome still lacks repentance.

Yep, that seems clear enough from this thread alone. Deny, defend, diminish, distort, defame, dismiss.

That must be, too, one of the reasons Daniel Goldhagen titled his book, "The Role of the Catholic Church in the Holocaust and it's Unfulfilled Duty of Repair."
