God does not need the tithe..

True enough, HE doesn't need us to praise him either, HE could have the rocks do that. That still doesn;t stop me from giving HIM the praise that HE is due. However, it was just a question, the church I attend does not send out statements as to giving and does not claim tax exempt status. In fact they barely acknowledge the existence of the government.
