For over twenty years, "Patriot Pastor" Garrett Lear has strode the halls of New Hampshire's legislature...serving as a voice for his faith and his Revolutionary War ancestors. Today he talks with us about Real ID, the liberty deficit among Christians and his colorful outfit. Pastor Lear's church is in Wakefield, New Hampshire.
What do *you* think? Is Real ID the Mark of the Beast? A precursor to it? A bad thing? A good thing?
Yeah, I expect it will get to that point. What I meant by “voluntary” was that they don’t hold you down and do it to you. Rather, they compell you by saying, if you want to eat or work, you will get this mark. And you WILL worship the beast.
It is really pretty clear. The good news for anyone looking for this is that we will know it when we see it and there will be no doubt.
Well, the watchman isn’t my site. I just agree with most of what I have read there so far. I still have a long ways to go though...
I just can’t get into the preterist thing, try though I might.
Here’s some reading you might find interesting in your spare time:

Well wake up from our bad dream and realize anew that futurist dispensationalism is a house of card built on the bed of sand.
Yeah. It’s probably like being raised to think like a DemocRAT - it’s almost impossible to get straightened out. :)
“I’ve come to believe that the ‘mark of the beast’ is not a physical mark, but a spiritual ‘mark’. That mark determines their thought life and the works done with their hands.”
Bingo!
I got my fill of reading too much Hal Lindsey. Then I read Salem Kirban's 666 (like Left Behind for hippies on drugs), and watched A Thief in the Night. Then I put down these eschatological newcomers, picked up a Bible and -- with the help of some long dead Reformation types -- understood that prophecy is not about the Me Generation of the 70s and 80s. And that the Bible is a pointer to Jesus Christ, not secular 20th century Israel.
It's been interesting watching lots of others follow the same path from dispensational nonsense to Bible sense, rejoicing in God's sovereignty and the advancement of His kingdom under the reign of King Jesus.
You won't be able to buy or sell, or hold a job. You do know that don't you? How are you going to be able to stand it when your kids get hungry and you don't have any food because you didn't take the mark? Could you, as a parent, stand there and watch your children hungry and crying?
In the meantime y'all can make a cottage industry out of pure speculation, fillin' up Christian bookstore shelves with the latest John Hagee bestseller.
I couldn't, but then I have well! over a ton of dried food ready and waiting. But they would probably confiscate it.
But don't you know, only unbelieving heathen are going to be Left Behind (tm) to suffer with the mark of the beast? Them, along with all those unfortunate Jews -- God's other chosen people -- 2/3 of whom will be annihilated in the miserable conflagration to follow.
I think that would be the most difficult thing a parent ever had to deal with. Fortunately, I don't have that to contend with. I really expect a lot of Christians to fall away because of that very thing.
At least you've prepared. You might need to buy some barrels and hide that food in several places, in case they should find part of it, because they will take it. I've prepared for myself and a lot of other people too, because I know I could not stand there and watch any child go hungry. As long as I have food, I will share it to the last bite.
I am pretty good at hiding food and guns! Prayers for all preparers!

My profile is about the old vs. new Catholic Mass
You have _GOT_ to be kidding.
I started out totally pre-trib. But it was because it is what I was told. When I started studying all of the various positions I found myself more and more seeing all roads leading to what I called Mid-trib and later learned is more appropriately called Pre-wrath.
I started studying this in 1981.
Anyway, I just discovered the watchman site a few weeks ago and was amazed at how well in synopsized what I had studied and then took it much farther than I ever did. I will be stydying the site you pointed out along side it.
Well, where else will we get our Jesus Junk?
Well I don’t plan on being here but if I am I live on a farm.
We’ll eat just won’t have cable tv.
