For my Protestant friends-Since the author mentioned Buddha this reminded me of something I heard today. Did you know the Buddhist venerate the sacred tooth relic of Buddha? This is believed to have been the actual tooth of Buddha himself. (Mr. Big) They have built a shrine to the tooth, have a day set aside to celebrate the tooth, and the tooth has even been known to once rescued the people from a severe drought. They don't worship the tooth since that is reserved for Buddha but they venerate the tooth. Ah, the marvels of dentistry.

Give him a break, maybe he meant "apostolic church" instead of "apostate church"...after all he, like President Bush, is a Texan and tends to get his words mixed.
