Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I am near Chicago and Wisconsin, not Peoria. I haven’t had much luck finding non-latin rite churches in communion with Rome where I live.

My apologies - geography was one of my worst subjects. There is a beautiful Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer Glen (near Springfield). Were I not on dial-up, I would dowload a map but that would take forever. And then there is this Byzantine Catholic Mission in Peoria. Mission status means they don't yet have a church of their own. It might be worth exploring, just for the beauty of the liturgy. We have several RCs who have gone Byzantine; one is now a deacon.
