This is happening already. A lot has happened since 1989 that's for certain. Much of it not good. I believe the last man in the Whitehouse that understood our relationship with Israel was Reagan. He understood to respect Israel. As small a nation as she is she can certainly mop up the M.E. troublemakers if left to do so.
