Well if there is nothing wrong with Mormonism then you should join. They claim to be the ONLY TRUE CHURCH ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. So if you don't see anything wrong with Mormonism, then you must agree that they are THE ONLY TRUE CHURCH ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

So you really need to join the Mormon Church. You wouldn't want to continue to worship at a church that the Mormons say is false, would you? The Mormon Church was founded on the principle that the gospel was lost to the earth and that they restored the TRUE GOSPEL. So if you are not a Mormon, then you have a FALSE GOSPEL.

So what is stopping you from doing the Book of Mormon Challenge and joining the ONLY TRUE CHURCH ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH?

I dont join the Mormon Church, because I chose to join no church, at this time...I am a member of no church, and have not been a member of any church for many years...

I’m not gonna go into andysandmikesmom faith, that’s for her to talk about or not. And frankly, in the atmosphere of this thread {non-productive comment self-removed by the grace of Free Republic’s preview function}

But I have to say I reject the notion that one must choose to either condemn or join a certain denomination.

While, I do not feel called to join the Church of the Latter Day Saints neither have I been given the power to the judge the faith of others.

I can see the their actions. I can disagree with their doctrine and say I don’t believe their founder. I can also see that Mormons follow both the path to forgiveness through Jesus and the most important commandments as defined by Jesus - but to judge who is Christian in their heart and how true their faith is?

That’s for God and it would be hubris for me to overstep.

And I think I can make that distinction without either joining or attacking.

BTW, I’ve heard the Pope and not a few Protestant preachers claim to represent the only true church - no denomination has a monopoly on hubris - there appears to be plenty to go around.
