What you state may very well be true...however, in your view, if what you state is true, do you then say, that because of that, Mormons cannot, under any circumstances, be Christians?...I think that is the crux of the matter..it truly is something I dont understand...I have known a number of Mormons in real life, tho not a lot, and I know many people of many different Christian faiths...and often we get around and talk about these differences...but I have never ever heard anyone else in real life, ever tell me, that Mormons cannot be Christians...and yet, on the Mormon and anti-Mormon threads, that is what I am constantly being told....
I am trying to reconcile this disconnect....
It is all in God’s purview. But I can tell you this, Jesus went to the cross and died, then rose again, not to make bad people good but to make people dead in spirit alive forever more. He promises to make one alive the instant one asks Him to be their deliverer and ‘faiths’ in His transforming Spirit. Mormons believe Salvation comes after all that the individual does to be obedient. That is not what God teaches through the New Testament. Ultimately, He will be the arbiter of souls, not Joe Smith, Mormonism, Catholicism, or any other man or doctrine of men, Just Jesus. I have a couple of essays on my profile page that you might find helpful.
