I thought the topic of the thread was about “How Mormons Saw Romney.” If you weren’t talking about Romney then I guess you just drifted off topic. That seems to happen a lot on some threads.

It means that the candidacy of a Mormon exposed your bigotry.

I know it exposed the bigotry of the mormon/anti-Chritians in these threads...

I have watched the Christian bashing and maligning of Christian beliefs by the mormons, and it’s appalling...

Oh please. Whenever there is a thread on Romney or Mormons, you are among the first and most vicious to hop on with anti-Mormon comments. And the people on FR who most loudly deny that anti-Mormon bigotry had anything to do with their opposition to Romney are the ones who had the most vicious things to say about our religion at every opportunity.

Anything coming from the Mormons is just in response to you and your friends.

We are confident in our religion. We don’t need to go around bashing the religions of others in order to make ourselves feel better. We don’t need to create a common enemy in order to create unity amongst ourselves.

This article was written by a bigot with an anti Mormon agenda. And it is thoroughly sickening. Enough already.

Sounds like you're intolerant of the author & article. According to the loudest criers, intolerance = bigotry. Enough such intolerance already.

The guy was getting 90% of the Mormon vote. Whatever problems his church had with him, it couldn’t have been too severe.

The "tribe" mentality will overcome any personal misgivings one might have. Especially in a tribe in which the belief that they are "being persecuted" for their differences has been a major lifetime influence. The fact that Mitt lost has only sharpened that perception.

Not sure what the problem is. All I was saying is that I believe Romney is well informed about the beliefs of the LDS. His family is an old Mormon family, and he himself has been involved in LDS leadership activities. There was nothing critical in saying that.

As part of the 10%, my problems with Romney have nothing to do with him as a Mormons, but as a conservative. I think the whole "Mormon" issue just muddied the waters on his conservatism.

Just my $0.02

The anti-Christian mormons are the ones who make their comments personal...

I’ve learnt more about the hatred of mormons for real christians from these threads than I’ve ever known before...

As a Mormon, I am not taken back by anything of things said by Romney, nor was any Mormon I know, and I know a ton of them. I love my evangelical brothers and glad Romney courted them.

If you love us, have you petitioned the new "prophet" to remove the "Scripture" that Joseph Smith did not canonize that describes us Protestants having "ALL" of our creeds that are an "abomination in his [God's] sight?" [PoGP, Joseph Smith - History - vv. 18-19]

(The fact that LDS tithes pay for this to be translated & spread around the world, coupled with LDS teachings that we are "apostates" and belong to a "dead three"--LDS publication words--is a slanderous putdown...even in my critiques, I don't say every creed of Mormonism is an "abomination"...so these kinds of blanket statements about all non-Mormon churches are not helpful).

People Attacking Mitt are the only ones ever to call me the Devil, a bigot and a servant of the devil on this forum. What does it mean?

It means that people get really involved in politics on this forum and lose perspective sometimes... that's what it means.
