I have six siblings. Growing up (and going to Catholic school), I thought of us as a “medium-sized” family, as there were families with 10 and 11 kids in the parish.
I don’t know many couples of our age with more children than I have (eight), but I often run into people my age or older who come from families of ten or more children. This was farm country not that long ago :-). The older ladies are especially happy to see all my children, especially when we’re working the polls on election day!
