WM:If you were shown examples of RC teaching that are clearly not Scriptural and are in violation of what Scripture teaches, would you be willing to leave the RCC, or attempt to show your fellow RC's the error and seek to change your church?

Mary:No, I don’t think any really would. That’s something we need to leave to God, for HIM to convict them through His Word or through the HS.

We have to try though. If we just throw up our hands and say "we don't agree, but that's okay" we fail to serve our Saviour. We never know who has been quickened by God.

Titus 1:13-14 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.

Thanks, wmfights. I agree to some extent that we need to keep trying (in love, however) but in the end it’s the Holy Spirit who guides them and us into all truth. I find that people of other faiths really believe in what they’ve been taught (like we have) and it’s tough to reach them. I know I don’t have the words or the knowledge to rebuke their teachings. I only have the ‘basics’ and hope that’s enough but I don’t have faith in my own ability to do even that. I can only agree with those who do. Love, Mxxx
