Because he didn’t found that church. He had a body of believers who were in a number of churches after Christ was resurrected All those churches did not believe one and the same thing. What do you think St. Paul's epistles are all about? They are directed as deviant "churches."
They all differed in terms of the Holy Trinity or Christology. Those are not relative terms.
