Films for adults may cover material of many shades of gray. Even your Joe Buck in Midnight Cowboy, or Richard Burton's two loves in the Sandpipers, or Orson Welles as the boozy bordertown sheriff, or Clockwork Orange, etcetc. Greeneland, as Catholics refer to it, after Graham Greene. Adults can learn from the downfall of others through tragedy, as Aristotle told us long ago, to enlighten us.
But a film marketed to children, by a writer who is specifically seeking to demolish their blooming faith, is clearly of another category. Forbes has not the properly grounded Catholic faith for this job - he needs to be dismissed.
