My whole point, and I show it plainly within the context of scripture, is Jesus claimed to be God. He believed he was God, scripture supports he was God, and the Jewish religious leaders believed he claimed to be God.
The verses you point out, if you believe makes Jesus just a physical "Son Of God" then there has to be a huge contradiction in scripture, because Jesus also claims to be the "Father."
When Jesus refers to himself as "the first and the last" he is claiming to be the one and only God. There is no ambiguity, or hidden meaning in that statement. When Jesus refers to himself as the "Son Of God" he is using just ONE of the names of God, himself. Now, I'm not saying Jesus is NOT the Son Of God, but rather he is the Son Of God, and God himself. Not two seperate beings, but ONE being with two names.
As I pointed out in my last post God has MANY names and there is a unity only he possess with those names. In Genesis 1:1 the word that is used for "In the beginning God created..." the Hebrew word "God" has a very unique Pluralistic/Singular connotation to it. It's like saying, I'm going to invite my "friend" over, both of them. "Friend" is singular, but obviously there is pluralistic aspect to it as indicated by the the word "both."
