To: Tax-chick

Lord of the Dance gets sung all the time at my parish. I think it’s a Shaker traditional song. It stinks. A few times it was even played (on piano of course) during Holy Communion. I cannot think of a more vapid tune...

“Lord of the Dance” word written by Sydney Carter in 1963.
Music traditional English even when it was picked up by Ann Lee and the Shakers in the 18th century.
