ping - forgive me if you get a 2x ping

Very well made and engrossing film. Well made in the sense that the people who made it cared for the story they are telling.

It’s about choices - the choice Jose’ made to accept responsibility for his actions; the choice the Chinese man in the deli made to not do that; and the choice that Nina makes with a little help from her friend.

How about that? I usually don’t even remember characters’ names after I walk out of the theater.

See it!

I'm amazed that you consider it to be well made. IMHO, they were too interested in being artistically avant garde and sacrificed the quality of the storytelling for "art." I didn't write the review below, but I could have. (It was the sentiment shared by the people I went with as well.)

Sorry. Can't recommend.

The storyline is a good one and much overdue, but the camera work is miserable. MISERABLE! :( I spent at least 1/3 of the movie focusing on the "exit" sign because of the nauseating, constantly moving camera. Even at that, I ended up with a headache.

Also, the storyline was hard to follow. When we walked out of the theatre after the movie and compared notes, it was a relief to learn that everyone was confused -- not just me. Now that I know the whole story, it would be good to see the movie again to see the various scenes with a better understanding, but there's NO WAY I would sit through that miserable camera work again. EVER!!

This was a story that needed to be told. I just wish it had been told in a manner more friendly to the audience at large.

I desperately wanted to love this movie. I just can't. :(

Excellent summary!
