prefer your interpretations

I thoroughly agree with anyone who doesn't want to follow anyone else's interpretations.

After all, it's not my interpretor, pastor, teacher, Christian musician, favorite TV Christian, priest, etc., who has to stand before God and answer for my life.

That would be me.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Phl 2:12 ¶ Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.

1 Corinthians 12:28-29
And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

See #433. Christ did not leave us as sheep without a shepherd; nor is God the author of confusion, which is what you get when you put your trust in nothing higher than your own (even conscientious) interpretation of Scripture. Christ, who loves us, did not leave us to that.
