Lee Strobel has written a sequel to his book "The Case for Christ." The new book is "The Case for the Real Jesus." Fundamentalist atheists have been attacking Jesus with renewed vigor, but as usual their claims don't stand up to even simple investigation.
This may be Strobels best book yet and he successfully refutes pseudoscholars like Bart Ehrman, conspiracy theorists like Michael Baigent and hacks like Dan Brown.
Their arguments so poorly stand up to scrutiny its almost laughable. Check it out, it has my vote for Book of rhe Year:

So? Jesus the Christ predicted this, and much much more.

Meanwhile, check out Hyam Maccoby's Revolution In Judaea: Jesus And The Jewish Resistance.
All Good in God....
I’m still waiting for Strobel to investigate his own senior pastor and figure out what’s wrong there. He is fairly good at investigative journalism. You’d think he wouldn’t be the type to sit by and let false teaching go unnoticed. *sigh*
I enjoyed his “Case for a Creator.”
I think it wasn't stated as a shocking unexpected development, just matter of fact. :-)
I agree. “The Case for the Creator” is a good work. But I think Lee has been sipping the Hybels/Warren/Schuller KoolAid for too many years to recognize that he’s in league with the enemy.
My favorite was the ‘Case for Faith.’ There is a nice student’s edition too.
I thought this new work was Strobel’s best book yet. Much more in depth than “The Case for Christ”. “The Dawkins Delusion” is another good current apologetic work that undresses Dawkin’s “The God delusion” in about 100 pages.
I was unimpressed with “The Case for Christ”. Not that I thought there was anything wrong in it, I just didn’t think it would be all that convincing for an unconvinced person.
I also had just finished reading “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist” by Geisler & Turek which was fantastic (and I highly recommend it) so that may have been part of the reason why I didn’t care for it.
Is this new Strobel book much better than “The Case for Christ” or is it along the same lines?

I thought it was much better than Case for Christ. It uses the same tactic of interviewing accomplished theologians and researchers but this book is aimed at refuting the many recent books which attack the reliability of the Bible and Christianity in general. The book you mention "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist" is awesome and in my opinion the best single volume Christian apologetic work. It is just the thing for people who don't have the time or persistance to read Geisler's 4 volume work on Christian apologetics.
