You say I seek to parse the plain meaning. Is that your opinion or do you derive such a statement from a higher source & if so how? Should I just take your word for it? You say it’s a plain meaning. I accept that many can have differing opinions re: the trinity & I respect that. For me & many others, the trinity is far from plain & frankly quite convoluted. Do you have a definitive authority that would set me straight?
BTW, rather than ask John which would be difficult to say the least, perhaps you would rather ask the Lord. That’s not nearly as difficult. He’s asked you to do it to boot.
