When it comes down to it this guy is promoting a form of behavior that is touted as being ‘godly’ — and instead of emphasizing it being of any spiritual value (which it isn’t) he is emphasizing the temporal benefits (which is a faulty motive in Scripture for any action). It plays right into today’s deluded evangelical mindset that ‘follows’ Christ for what benefit he can give you NOW rather than simply because you are profoundly grateful and humbled when you realize he paid the penalty for your utter sinfulness and saved you from eternal separation from him in Hell.

Please read my first posts about this. I am not arguing for this guys’ diet.

To clarify, me saying there are health benefits to God’s pre-NT dietary laws doesn’t mean I am in favor of a Genesis diet that this guy is promiting. I personally think he’s taking it out of context and ignoring everything after it.

All I have done is point out that God’s commands have benefits on multiple levels whether we know it or not, or recognize it at the time or not. Obeying His commands generally have both physical and spiritual benefits to people who obey them. Even though we aren’t under the old dietary laws there are still tangible health benefits associated with them. And further the guy promoting the Genesis diet is all wet because in pre-flood times that diet worked for people, post-flood it would not, God knew it and knew man would need to eat animals and so allowed it.
